Concept – In an era increasingly shaped by digital technology and LLM’s, opportunities for open-ended creativity and imagination in childhood are becoming less frequent. This event aims to reignite the creative spark that has reduced in recent years.Taking place at Belton House, a National Trust site near Grantham, the event aligns closely with the Trust’s values of education, heritage preservation, and engagement with nature. Inspired by Studio Ghibli and its traditional hand-crafted animation processes, The Spirits of Imagination celebrates the importance of traditional creativity in a digital age.Designed primarily for children aged 5–10, while remaining accessible and engaging for all visitors, the event features a series of immersive activities and workshops. These experiences are carefully structured to stimulate imaginative thinking while reinforcing the educational importance of traditional crafts and hands-on creative practices, while relating to different themes and values seen from popularStudio Ghibli movies.
